Sam and Colby. Long story short, I've gone down a ghost hunting rabbit hole.

You all know me by now. I'm a skeptic raised on the scientific method. Yet, I've always been

drawn to anything mysterious and death-related, so it's pretty natural that I'd gravitate

towards the debunking side of ghost hunting. Also, most times,

ghost hunters go to buildings with dark or tragic histories, which is another ingredient in my

favorite creepy cup of tea. When I was younger, I watched all sorts of ghost hunting shows,

like ghost hunters, ghost adventures, ghost hunters international, and most haunted.

Most of these ghost hunting things were just people running around scaring themselves and

jumping at noises their ghost hunting equipment made. It's entertaining as hell, but I wanted more than

entertainment. I want to know how it all works. I want to know the reality behind it all. Places with tragic

histories are often said to be the haunt of ghosts. Tragedy and violence always catch our attention,

and stories about them often linger in the public memory long after the incident occurred.

Legends of ghosts grow up around these incidents like weeds,

and the real history often becomes obscured. Ghosts are more interesting and better for tourism
