We as Catholics often hear the expression that the point of marriage is to help get

your spouse to heaven and if you're blessed with kids the mission is to get your kids

to heaven and it's beautiful, it's supernatural, it's wonderful, but that could be a lot of pressure.

And it could feel almost a little overwhelming. I've got to get my spouse to heaven and got to get all these kids to heaven and I don't know how to do that and what if I mess up it's going to be my fault and it can be really really hard

but to help us understand what this expression really means if we understand it

with a truly Catholic sense and help free us from that pressure and live in God's

grace and his peace to help us build a good marriage, a good home that does bring heaven here on earth.

And this is something we've talked about a lot that we often hear this with young couples with marriage we hear it a lot especially with

parents moms and dads wanting to raise their kids well and wanting to bring them up in a Catholic way and

and especially in our secular world where there's so much craziness going on in the world.

We want to make sure we do this right.

There seems to be a lot at stake.

What do you think about this expression here that the mission is to get our spouse to heaven to get our

kids to heaven first of all I just want to say like it comes from a good place like

there's a noble desire to desiring your spouse,

your children to have eternal,
