Welcome to our daily rosary meditation. Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Amen. Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

So maybe you're wondering why do we put such an emphasis on daily meditation,

what Theresa and John call mental prayer, daily meditation and a resolution, well it's because the

number one problem in the world and the number one problem in your soul is that we let feelings and emotions determine our behavior.

That's not the way it should be. And mental prayer with a

resolution along with the help of God fixes all that.

But to understand this you have to know your soul.

We have a soul which is comprised of three powers, the intellect, the feelings, and the will.

Here is how the soul was designed by God to work. The intellect becomes aware of reality through the

five senses, the imagination, or the memory. The intellect then presents its perception of reality to the feelings

as this is right and good for me or this is wrong and bad for me. The feelings respond to what

the intellect presented with I like this, prompting the will to choose it, or I dislike that, prompting the will to avoid it.

The will then chooses the apparent good or avoids the evil.

That's how the powers of the soul were supposed to work.

Thinking should inform our feelings which prompt our choices.

Thinking should rule our lives, not feeling.

Feelings are meant to be good servants,

but if they're left in charge,

they become very bad masters.

Our Father who arts in heaven, hallow would be your name,

Thy kingdom come, they will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
