Welcome to another episode of the National Pulse Tuesday November 16th of the year of

0:20.0

2021 Broadcasting from Capitol Hill, I'm Rahim Kassam, Editor-in-Chief of the National Pulse.com.

0:36.0

I just relax here a little bit. It's a slightly different show for you today. Yes, there's a lot going on as you well know and we've been kind of sharing the

0:50.0

War Room Broadcasting responsibilities over the last 24 hours. But I don't think there's really all that much left to say about unless you're Steve Bannon's lawyers

1:04.0

about the partisan persecution of not just Steve Bannon by the way. Look at what's happening to James O'Keefe and if you think it's going to stop there, I mean look at what's happening to Carl Witton House

1:16.0

and if you think it's going to stop there, if you think you're not the ones in their sights, you are living in cloud, cookoo land as they say.

1:28.0

But there's other things, well there's one big other thing I wanted to talk about which is my recent tussle with the CCP's virus and I'm not really, you know, this is no pity party.

1:44.0

I had a little bit of a sniffle for a couple of days, alright. Not saying that those review with very existing conditions and older people shouldn't guard themselves against but I was fine.

1:57.0

Okay, broadly just fine. Let's take it a little easy for a couple of days but broadly fine and I'll tell you what, I am not one for staying in.

2:09.0

I don't stay in much. I'm kind of one of those introvert extroverts. I'm gregarious but in confined and controlled settings. You know, I like my same restaurants, my same bars, my same friends, my same drinks.

2:26.0

I don't want to work the room, that's not like that. But it forced me to stay in for, you know, 10 days or so as I was recuperating and got me thinking about a whole bunch of things while that was all going on.

2:45.0

One of the things that occurred to me when I was when I was at home and I'd lost my sense of taste and smell and there's somebody who likes good food and good wine and nice smells. I guess it really bummed me out.

3:00.0

I was like, I was like sad for a few days about it like, is this ever coming back? What's going to happen? What if it takes six months and you know, for those that don't know, we have a we have a private chat channel on discord for the national pulse supporters.

3:14.0

So if you go to FundrealNews.com and you sign up, one of the things you get is a chat channel with me and I'm in there every day and the people in there are just the most wonderful people in the world and they were very supportive of me and I got to talk to them more when I was at home for all that time and loads of people were telling me like, hey, you know, my uncle has this and he hasn't got his smell back for six months and I can only smell like really nasty things now and things I like smell like sewage and I started to do a lot of research.

3:43.0

I started to do a lot of research about that and I couldn't believe just how little science, you know, we're always told the science, the science, the science, the science, I couldn't believe how little science there is on this phenomenon off the back of the CCP virus that so many people are losing, you know, forget, you know,

4:05.0

just sniff his shadow and if the path forget about that for a while think about like the danger, especially for people that live alone if there's a fire, you can't smell the smoke, you know, and I just thought this is wild that this is going on and nobody's really talking about this but it's very clear that many, many thousands of people are experiencing this.

4:26.0

So I wanted to spend a little bit of time today talking about how I, how Rahim got his groove back, how Rahim got his smell back, right, and I know this is kind of different, it's not the kind of topic I would usually do but, you know, what am I going to sit here and talk to you again about China, we talked about that on the war room this morning in depth, the Elaine Luria story, all of that.

4:49.0

So bear with me stick with it if you even if this doesn't apply to you, who knows you might get it, you know, hope not.

4:57.0

And you might need this advice and I'll keep it really, really short today as well, so you're not going to waste a lot of time listening to me talking about smells.

5:06.0

Making myself laugh now what I will say is this I'll start by saying this, everyone goes out there and they read about their reads they read about this thing and the prevailing the prevailing guidance recommendations suggestions are I just sniff something you like for a while that'll help.

5:30.0

Now I don't know what the quote and quote sciences behind that I'm sure maybe there's a shred of it but that wasn't going to cut it for me like after the first day of smelling things just walking around my house just sniffing things which is better than Joe Biden, you know, I'm not sniffing people.

5:48.0

Well, maybe that works, I don't know, I don't suggest it. Maybe that's why he's doing it all the time.
