At various points in my life, people have called me the busiest man in financial services,

or maybe when I've met somebody for the first time and they're a podcast listener and they know who I am,

they say, I just don't know how you get everything done.

This kind of bemuses me.

Is that the right way of putting that?

I am always bemused by this because I'm not convinced I'm really any busier

or more effective than anybody else.

And I know more than anybody just how much I still procrastinate.

But I read a book once and it completely changed my life

in the whole area of productivity. And I want to tell you a little bit

about that today.

Okay, here it is, this wellumbed edition of Getting Things Done by David Allen.

Yeah, I've read this quite a few times. I've now got it on Kindle, and this is sort of preserved on my bookshelf for the future.

But this book has just made me so much more productive.

If I get off track, it helps to bring me back.

If I'm unfocused or if I'm struggling to create

it's usually other stuff in my head that is getting in the way and the getting things

done methodology is the way that I've learned to fix that.

So let's stick five minutes on the clock.
