Making a study.

Making a study of the book of Nehemiah is a little like listening to a

concerto and listening very carefully. In fact I see three things that are analogous to

the book of Nehemiah. First of all in a concerto there is a soloist and

throughout the work of the master you hear over and over again the work of the soloist.

In this case, in this literary concerto we have Nehemiah.

He plays the major role and he plays the major instrument.

You see him emerge all the way through the book.

He's not the director.

God is the director.

But he plays his instrument in various tones and in various ways with beautiful technique as he emerges in various roles throughout the book.

The second thing I notice by way of analogy is that there is a
