and sisters, Alhamdulillah, on this blessed occasion of Eid, we are less than 24 hours

removed from the greatest day of the year in which more people have been freed from

the fire than any other time of the year. May Allah, Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, write us

down amongst those who have been freed, amongst those who have been forgiven, amongst

those who have been written in these scrolls of al-Faridos al A'ala, Allah Ma'amin.

I want to start with a story from the Messenger of Allah, that's not necessarily related

to Eid, but it is one of those joyous occasions from the life of the Messenger of Allah,

of which you don't find a parallel. The Prophet of Allah, is at the tail end of the

Battle of Hanein, which was a very difficult battle for the Muslims, and it is towards

the end of his life on this earth, Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam. And as the Battle of Hanein

finishes, an old woman comes out to the Prophet, Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam, and she calls

out to the Prophet, Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam from the crowd, and she says, Ya Rasulallah,

I am your sister, and the Prophet, Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam, pauses for a moment, and

he looks at that old woman, and clearly he recognizes something from her, and he says,

Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam, what is the alama, what is the sign that you are indeed my sister,

because he thought, or he thought he knew who she was, and clearly she resembles that person,

and she showed the Prophet, Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam, a bite mark, from when the Prophet

Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam was a baby, and she was assisting in his nursing, Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam,

and he was under the care of Halima Sadiyah, radiallahu ta'ala anha, and the Prophet, Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam

immediately embraces this woman, and he takes her, and he sits her next to him, and the Prophet,

Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam starts to serve her, and the Prophet, Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam, suddenly
