It's a little jarring to look at a map of the country right now and trace the spread of measles.

2025 is now the worst year for measles cases in this country in more than three decades.

Maybe you've heard the headlines that the last time the U.S.

saw this many measles cases was 1992,

that there are more than 1,300 infections, and the year's only half over.

Health experts fear the U.S. may lose its status as having eliminated measles.

The CDC says that more than 90% of people diagnosed diagnosed were classified as unvaccinated or unknown.

And it almost seems like some people are proud of that fact.

Right now, you look around, you can find these video testimonials gathered by anti-vaccine

advocates. They show family members of children who've died during this outbreak,

just days removed from their raw grief.

Parents cry about the children they've lost,

and then they reject vaccination.

They say the measles wasn't that bad

They even say, wrongly, that a measles infection can make your immune system stronger.
