Political drama intensifies on Capitol Hill.

Hello again, I'm Marenalny, and this is To the Point.

Director James Comey told Congress today the FBI is investigating claims that the Trump

campaign coordinated with Russia, and he firmly denied the president's accusation that Barack Obama

wiretapped him before the election. I have no information that supports those tweets. For their part,

Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee pressed hard on

finding the sources of intelligence leaks to the news media. We'll hear some of today's

give and take and some commentary on what it could mean for both Republicans and Democrats.

On today's talking point later, President Trump resets relations with Saudi Arabia.

First, here's the news. to the point comes from the members of KCRW and from the Public Radio International Program

Fund. Hello again, Mormon Allie, back with To the Point. The directors of the FBI and the NSA

testified on Capitol Hill today, there is no evidence for President Trump's claim he was wiretapped

by former President Obama. We heard about that and the investigation into Russian tampering with

last year's presidential campaign.

Later on today's talking point, Saudi Arabia is in the midst of a generational change and the deputy crown prince a rising power got a handshake last week from President Trump.

Both countries say relations are improving.

First is news update. Republicans in the Senate never allowed a vote on President

Obama's appointment of Judge Merrick Garland to the U.S. Supreme Court. Democrats have not forgotten.

That was clear today as the Judiciary Committee took up President Trump's nomination of Judge
