Faith without works is dead. That's what we read in the book of James, and I think one of the

finest illustrations of that principle in the whole of

Scripture is the example of Noah's faith.

We're in Hebrews chapter 11, verse number 7, this amazing summary passage on the life and

labors of Noah.

And we read these words, by faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen

as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house by the which he condemned the

world and became heir of the righteousness, which is by faith. Now, we learned in our last study

two simple truths.

The first is that he listened to God.

May the Lord help us all to get our ears on.

He that has the ears to hear, let him hear.

So you've got to be spiritually discerning and open enough to hear what God's trying to say.

He listened to God's warnings.

Then he believed God God and we saw the

connection between faith and fear. We fear the Lord. That's a healthy fear, a holy fear, a purifying

fear. It's the only good fear because it's the fear that matters in the end and it is the fear
