Yo, there's this law.

It's called the law of familiarity.

And it basically says that those things that we're exposed to for long enough,

we tend to start taking for granted.

You don't believe me, just go start taking for granite.

You don't believe me, just go without electricity for an hour.

We had a snowstorm a couple weeks ago in Portland, and the lights went off.

Few hours, right?

Leave your phone somewhere, roll your ankles, see how much you take having healthy ankles

for granted. So anything we're around for a long enough time, we will start to take it for granted.

And if we're not careful, we'll take it for granted so much so that we begin to disrespect it.

Or we don't treat it with the same honor.

And we don't consciously create and cultivate a state of gratitude.

The reason why I'm bringing this up, man, is because, like, you guys know I get my heart and

soul into this podcast, into my work, into what it is that I do.

I just spent four days in a row, literally, recording courses, content, videos, podcasts with my team, Mike Crocker, Brandon Crocker.

And so all during that time, my wife was with my kids. I got five kids, y'all. Five. It's not easy. But my wife, she holds me down.

And for you guys listening, I want you to understand that it's not just me, yo.

If I didn't have my wife, if she wasn't helping me out, if she wasn't providing her support,

not just in, you know, being with my kids kids taking care of the household while I'm working,

but I'm talking about nurturing me, loving me, respecting me, honoring me.
