I'm joined in the Senate Chamber today by our former political editor, Mark Devonport,

and by a clutch of MLAs who are juggling this conversation with various committees that are sitting this afternoon.

Welcome to the DUP's Philip Brett and the UUP's Steve Aiken, who both sit on the Assembly's Finance Committee.

Also here is the Alliance Party's Connie Egan, who's deputy chair of the committee for the executive office.

Claire Sugden, the independent unionist and former Justice Minister, sits on that committee as well.

And she's with us, and hopefully we'll be joined shortly by the SDLP's Matthew O'Toole,

who leads the opposition up here at the

Assembly and chairs the Finance Committee. And we have also asked Sinn Féin to provide us with a

I think market brings an important impetus as we as MLA is returned to the chamber after

summer recess of what we all want to try and deliver in the coming months and for the remainder

of this mandate. I know like me, many of my colleagues run the table will have spent the summer

engaging with their constituents and the clear issues that continue to be raised with us on a
