Welcome to another time, just our guided time of prayer together here with the Colson Center.

I'm John Stone Street, the president of the Colson Center.

We have loved hearing from so many of you about our first kind of start up again of this time of prayer together.

Of course, we did a whole series of prayer

times leading up to the election in November and just heard from so many feeling like so

many of us are, just so unsettled in this cultural moment and so concerned about Christian

faithfulness. And I think sometimes we think to ourselves, you know, well, other than praying,

what can we do?

Forgetting that praying is actually doing something.

This is a central part of a Christian worldview that God has made himself known and he welcomes that sort of relational communion with him, not only bringing our request, but also asking for his help and living out the

things that we already know. So that's really what all of this is about. As you know, and as we

heard last week from Shaw McDow, we're looking at Proverbs. We're looking at the book of wisdom that

God has given us. And as I said last week, one of the things I love about Proverbs is that it's a wisdom book,

and most religions have wisdom books, but Proverbs is this really kind of down to earth,

like don't do stupid things, you know, just, you know, it's just really sound advice

that you can immediately take and apply. And of course,
