She captains the Houston Dash and has appeared with the United States women's national soccer team. Prior to her professional career, she was a member of the University of North Carolina’s 2012 NCAA championship-winning team and scored the single winning goal in the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup Final. Yes, when I was young about eight years old I found out that I was partially blind in my

right eye and now it's completely blind and I grown up playing soccer and I

became a professional women's soccer player even with my blind eye, which it has had some limitations,

but I just look at it as a way to overcome something and just become even better.

What advice would you give to a young girl who wants to become a professional athlete?

I think that all young girls should remember that they can be whoever they want to be

and do whatever they want to do and there's always going to be people saying

that's not realistic you can't do, but you have to believe in yourself.
