Hi Revels. Welcome to another episode of Get to Know a Rebel. I'm your host, Pepper. And today, we're talking to the head coach of Arizona State University Women's Basketball, Molly Miller.

head coach of Arizona State Women's Basketball. I am from Springfield, Missouri, and I get to do this

for a living coach basketball. I'm so excited to talk to you today. I am so excited to talk to you, too.

So how did you first discover your love of basketball?

You know, as one of those kids, I always had a ball in my hand, whether it was a volleyball. I loved that.

That was my favorite sport in high school, a softball, a basketball. So my family was really competitive and sports really was just part of our life.

And so I learned from an early age that everything has a time and score and competitive nature to it.

And it just brought me joy.

Yeah, I totally know that feeling.

I play basketball myself and I love it so much.

What made you want to transition from

being a player to being a coach? You know, I didn't really originally dream of being a basketball

coach. I actually thought I was going to go into business. I got a call from one of my former

head coaches who was coaching at my alma mater, jury university. And he was like, would you be interested in coming

back into coaching? And I had to think about it. I loved basketball. I loved playing. I thought I had

a good basketball IQ in mind. But, you know, that ship had kind of sailed in that chapter and closed.

But I took a pay cut and went back into coaching. And I am not going back to the corporate world anytime soon.

This has been the best decision and kind of went out on a limb and it's worked out pretty well.

Yeah, I'd say it's going pretty well. What do you think makes a good basketball team?

You know, I think talent obviously makes a good team, but this connectiveness and this idea of the best teams that communicate and trust each other
