| 0:00.0 | Welcome back to another episode of the Jasmine Starshow. My name is Jade, Chief Operating Officer for Social Curator, and I'm so excited to introduce you to an amazing podcast episode we have for you. |
| 0:25.0 | Today you get to be a fly on the wall for a coaching session Jasmine had with a few social curator users on everything from leveraging video in your business to getting personal on social media without making it awkward and everything in between no matter how many years you've been in business or what industry you're in every business owner will take something away from Jasmine's insights in this episode and I can't wait for you to hear it. Let's jump right in. Hi Jasmine, thanks so much for having me here. |
| 0:54.9 | I'm Becky Launder and my business is Modern Direct Cellar, so I work with Direct Cellars and Direct Sales companies to build a profitable business with training systems and strategy. |
| 1:09.9 | So my question for you is with so much focus these days on social media around video, I would love just your very vast tips on how to leverage video in my business without spending countless hours recording and editing and producing video content. |
| 1:30.9 | Well, there's two ways to answer this question because the truth of the matter is if I could sell a bullet if I could sell the solution, I'd probably be a billionaire. |
| 1:42.9 | It's just that the reason why video performs so well is because it takes a lot of time to create and because it takes a lot of time to create very few people created. |
| 1:57.9 | And when very few people create something that performs very well, they get the lion share of attention. |
| 2:04.9 | So there are two answers to this very basic but super complex question and the answer is you're going to have to reappropriate your time unless you have just some magical few hours in your day that are uncalled for. |
| 2:22.9 | You happen to have time that you are spending watching Netflix. If you happen to have time that is not allocated to your business that you are willing to shift over into content creation thumbs up. That's what you're going to have to do. |
| 2:38.9 | If for some reason you say no, Jasmine, I'm fully tapped out. I can't possibly think of another thing to add. Then that answer becomes something else must be replaced in the business. |
| 2:52.9 | And if you're not willing to replace anything in the business because you need to be doing it, then you're going to have to hire somebody to come and create the content with you and then handle the editing on the back. |
| 3:04.9 | There's no missing words about it. However, when done correctly and the only way you get to correct because correct for me is different than your version of correct because we have different followers and different offers and different things. |
| 3:16.9 | Once we figure that out, it really only comes on the back of doing it again and again and again. |
| 3:24.9 | So even when a group of people who listen to this conversation to choose path one, two, or three, even when that happens, those few people that do it. |
| 3:35.9 | The vast majority of people will stop at the 20% mark because they're not seeing results from their time, money, or efforts. |
| 3:45.9 | And what I am here to talk about is the very few people that continue to do it despite not seeing the initial results. |
| 3:55.9 | Those are the people who will in the future get the lion share. |
| 4:00.9 | So that's my like, thank you for coming to my talk. And now it's getting to like practical conversations because I've seen the future or I see what's happening in the future. |
| 4:12.9 | And the future is video period. Everybody freaked out when Adam was saying CEO Instagram said, oh, Instagram's mean, you know, not a photo sharing platform anymore. |
| 4:23.9 | And I'm just like, everyone's freaking out. And I'm like, yo, that's been the case. And it's been the case for a while. When people are saying, oh, my engagement has dropped. Well, engagement for reals has increased and engagement for photos has dropped. |
| 4:35.9 | I mean, it's not mad like we see where attention is going. And this is always the case. So to be fair, I've said it before and I said it in a social security group. |
| 4:43.9 | Photos were still going to be a part of Instagram period being if you are producing photos that are getting wild engagement, you're a okay. |
