How are you feeling this summer?

Well, summer if you're in the northern hemisphere,

winter in the southern hemisphere,

my best friends in Australia are all about this,

and my Australian family.

So actually, let me rephrase it,

how are you feeling mid-year? Right here we are in July in full swing. How are you feeling?

I've been hearing kind of mixed responses when I've been asking that question in my communities and I want to offer you something.

Number one, it's okay to, oh my gosh, it's not only okay, it's essentially you take some rest and take a break if that's available to you and if that's what you're doing right now in this season.

But some of you have been sharing that you feel like you're in a bit of a slump, you don't really feel on track for what it is you want to get to be do and have this year.

And if that's you, if you're thinking, oh, you know, maybe there's even like a sense of dread or this heaviness or maybe even a sense of confusion about the right thing to do next, I would like to offer you a really simple hack that can be really helpful.

I just follow this in my day-to-day life anyway because it feels good and it inspires me but if you want to be extra

intentional about it it can really bring you some returns. Okay? It's this. Get around people who are doing things. Just get around them.

Don't have to copy them, you don't have to be like them, you don't even have to like or value what it is

that they're doing. But get around people who are doing things. You know, I remember when I was a high schooler, there was a boy who was

interested in me and I wasn't interested in him And at some point during high school,

he took up rowing.

Like rowing, you know, like kayaking rowing,

I like the same thing, I don't even know.

But when he started rowing, right? He had this schedule. I noticed, you know, there was this real shift in him. He kind of became really attractive.

Because he was doing something different. He was making progress, and he was busy, he was doing something, he was focused.
