Hey family secrets family. I've got to tell you I am so excited about this new bonus series

in which I talked to some of the great minds of our time about past episodes of Family Secrets.

A lot of you listened to my conversation with Dr. Galete Atlas last week,

in which we discussed the themes and ideas that came up in the season three episode,

Bubbie and Zeta and Grandma and Pa. Galete and I dove into some weighty subjects,

generational trauma, the meaning of dissociation, can it ever be healthy? Do we all dissociate

sometimes? And the emotional inheritance of long-held Family Secrets. Lots of you also went back

and listened to that 2020 episode. So I want to let you know about next week's great minds

conversation, which will be with the brilliant Dr. Mark Epstein, writer and psychiatrist,

author of my favorite books about the interface of Buddhism and psychotherapy.
