Big 10 is back. So a lot of waffling from the Big 10 in terms of if the Big 10 was going to have

its football season, obviously the good people down south of the ACC and the SEC are like,

fuck yeah, we're playing football this year. But the Big 10 has been holding out. They're going to

kick off their season, the weekend of October 24th. There was a unanimous vote to bring football back

and to resume competition. They've cited daily testing capabilities and more confidence in medical

information as their reason for bringing the conference back. Each team is going to play eight

games in eight weeks, which is a Herkulean undertaking. They're hoping to essentially complete

the entire season before the Big 10 championship game on December 19th. Jim Harbaugh, who's the coach

of Michigan, had been talking at the end of the summer about how he runs a very tight program.

The rest of the coaches in the Big 10 will endeavor to do the same. Essentially, what this is

setting up is that the Big 10 is going to jam an entire season into eight weeks. They're trying to

hit December 20th, which is a selection day for college football playoffs. And what's going to be

interesting is to see what Big 10 teams will make it to college playoffs. It's fairly certain that

whatever Big 10 team makes it will have to be undefeated in those eight weeks. So something to stay
