What exactly is happening in the skies over Northern Europe

and our NATO and the European Union prepared for it.

After a week when swarms of drones disrupted air traffic in Denmark and Norway,

there were reports today that more drones were spotted over the largest Danish military base.

Although some European countries, including Denmark, are talking about hybrid attacks,

they are not pointing the finger directly at Russia, but neither are they ruling out the Kremlin's

involvement in testing their resolve in the skies. Today, Germany's interior minister,

Alexander Dobrynt, said that after drones appeared over his country, Germany would not hesitate to

defend itself. It's about detecting drones, it's about intercepting drones, it's also about

shooting down drones. These are the basics we are talking about when we reposition ourselves

for drone defense.

It's an urgently needed project that is already underway.

It follows Russian drone incursions into Polish and Romanian airspace

and the raising of rhetoric by NATO countries, including suggestions that they would shoot down Russian planes entering

European airspace. That follows reports of Russian fighter jets crossing into Estonia.

Well, in New York today, there was a familiar response from Russia's foreign minister Sergei Lavrov.

He used his speech to the UN General Assembly to turn the Western narrative on its head

and to say that

Europe and NATO were the ones preparing the ground for an attack on Russian territory.
