It was a rally by the AFD. It was in front of the cathedral in the same place where hundreds of

people gathered on Saturday to watch a church service.

One of the AFD officials said that it was a monstrous political mistake to have given the suspect in this case asylum

itself, not very far away, counter-demonstration was held that was arranged by an anti-racism group,

and people there said it was wrong to scapegoat migrants, and they said that Magdeburg itself needed time to breathe.
