Hello and welcome to or welcome back to colonial outcast, your friendly or semi-friendly neighborhood

anti-imperialist podcast. We are continuing to center the conflict and the deteriorating

situation in Palestine, the escalating tensions with Iran, the continuing blockade and naval

action in Yemen, and everything in between.

And today we are talking about something,

a story that you may or may not have been tracking in Central Europe,

and it is Germanic fascism, or what I'm calling Germanic fascism.

I am heavily Germanic. My grandmother was Germanic fascism, or what I'm calling Germanic fascism. I am heavily Germanic. My grandmother was German, and I'm just personally not surprised by this at all. The German government's

problematic past with different genocidal actions, the notable one during the Second World War.

There's also some things, colonial actions going on in Namibia.

And with all this problematic history, they're just repeating the same function, the same actions.

They're double downing on their support of the Israeli government

in the face of overwhelming violations of international law and blatant war crimes, a blatant

expression of genocidal intent by leading members of the Knesset and the defense ministry

and the Israeli defense force.

So to help us kind of explore this and get an internal German perspective, we have Helene Fares.

I think I'm pronouncing that correctly.
