dragging them from the second division to the kings of Germany and the rulers of Europe.

We heard how his gold-powered trophy smashed records

and turned him into the bomber. And now the story

continues. Now hold on to your socks because this is where the numbers start doing, well,

backflips. In fact, it's quite incredible. In fact, I don't know if we've ever covered

an episode on a player who scored goals just like Gerd

Mueller did. When people talk about Gerdmuller, they're not just talking about the goals,

they're talking about a record so mighty, so towering, so outrageously brilliant,

that it still stands like a giant golden statue in German football.

During his 15 years at Bayern Munich, Gerd scored an astonishing 365 goals in 427 Bundesliga

matches. Let that sink in for a moment. And the bath and the toilet if you fancy it.

365 goals. That is one for every single day of the year. And, well, he didn't play football

every single day of the year. He played once or twice a week, which is even more ridiculous.

No player in the history of the Bundesliga has ever scored more. Not before him, not after

him, not even close to tell you the truth. To give you a sense of how wild that is,
