in North Carolina. And he is not only a leader in the field of sociology of religion, but he is tons of fun.

He's spent quite a bit of time in his career looking at multi-ethnic churches, the nature of faith and spirituality in Southern California and Los Angeles.

He did an extensive study on the

emerging church movement and the Glass Cathedral, Robert Schuller and such. It has recently

published American Blind Spot, Race, Class Religion in the Trump presidency. It is an amazing book, like full

endorsement, like so good that when I read it, I was like, oh, I was wrong about this. This is

really helpful. Gerardo, you're awesome. And in this conversation, we not only talk about
