Welcome, welcome, welcome to the Distraction Pieces Podcast with Scroobius Pip!
This week Pip is joined by Youtube geography champ and amazing idea generator GEOWIZARD!
Otherwise known as Tom Davies, of course. Some of you might be all like "Who in the good name of all things Youtubular is Geowizard now?", while some of you might in contrast be all like "Ahh, YES!" - well, either way, both camps are in for a treat. Tom has been making amazing videos with some concepts that make you instantly wonder how it hasn't been done already (in so much as it's such a pure, organic idea), and Pip's been down with him for a while. So you'll get to hear all about the straight line challenge, GeoGuessr (involving figuring out where you are after being dropped on Google Maps, using only context clues), how it all kicked in and got started, the idea of a 'real job', hard work out in the field (literally), being chased by angry farmers and a huge amount more. All will be made clearer by Pip and Tom from the intro onwards, so fear not - if this all sounds puzzling, give it a shot because this could very well be your next thing...Enjoy!

| 0:41.6 | get to familiar with him after this chat because he's a YouTuber that I'm a big fan of. And we explain |
| 0:49.6 | all of it, but he does a few different things. He does these straight line challenges where he |
| 0:54.8 | and a friend or relative try and cross a country in a straight line. So having to go over all |
| 1:04.0 | any obstacles across a whole country in a straight line. So they are amazing. He also plays a game |
| 1:10.1 | called Gio Guessor, which I got completely addicted to. Essentially what Gio Guessor is is |
| 1:17.1 | you get dropped anywhere in the world or depending on the map, anywhere in the world that has Google |
| 1:22.7 | maps, actually Google Street View on Street View. And you have to look around and use your kind of |
| 1:29.6 | detective skills to try and figure out exactly where you are. And then you drop a pin and you get |
| 1:35.5 | scored on how close you get to that. So yeah, it's amazing. And this conversation is amazing. |
| 1:42.0 | Before we get into it, I need to tell you that speech available at records.com is where you can |

| 2:03.7 | lot of YouTube. I watch everything. Gio Wizard puts up. I watch a bit of Chris Denker, |
| 2:12.0 | Limmy and the Limmy Twitch Clips channel. Now David Earl is just doing all this stuff over on Twitch. |
| 2:18.4 | I'm over there. So yeah, there's not a lot of YouTube. I'll watch outside of. But yeah, |
