accused of murdering her mother and stepfather was denied bond last week after an emotional hearing that left family members torn.

17-year-old Sarah Grace Patrick is accused of killing her mother, Kristen Brock, and her stepfather, James Brock, in their home back in February.

Patrick's five-year-old sister discovered their bodies shot to death.

In the days following, Patrick allegedly

went on TikTok to bring attention to the case, reaching out to true prime influencers. The last month,

that story took a turn when Patrick turned herself into the sheriff's office. At her bond hearing,

supporters painted Patrick as a churchgoing girl with no prior criminal history, but her stepbrother

claimed she would absolutely attempt to flee.

Prosecutors ultimately decided she is a flight risk and could attempt to intimidate witnesses.

Patrick is charged as an adult with two counts of murder and two counts of aggravated assault.

Her trial is set to begin in January.
