I'm here today in the studio with Georgia Savage, the author of The House to Bed.

And there's an interesting story behind this book.

I got a call at home from its publisher, Grey Wolf Press, asking me, although it was on short notice, could I take a look

at this book, that its author was coming from Australia, that the book was a big surprise and that

many people were discovering it all at once. And with, you know, my usual cordiality, I said, well, certainly send it over,

but you'll have to send it to New York because I'm going on vacation. So the house to bet

came to my parents' house in New York, and I think I didn't stop reading it once I opened it,

and then I called them back and said,

oh, absolutely. How soon can she be here? So it's a great pleasure to introduce to Americans, Georgia Savage,

whose first book published in America The House Tibet is. Well, welcome, Georgia.

Let's start with the title. How did the House Tibet come to you?

Well, part of the locality I've used for the book is in Queensland on the Gold Coast.

A lot of the action of the book takes place

there, as you know. And I lived there for four years, which is one of the reasons why I chose that,

because I think it's an interesting place to write about. And behind me, or two houses behind me
