Hi, this is Josh Marshall and this is the Josh Marshall podcast.

We are two days after the final election night of the 2022 midterm election cycle.

And someone pointed out to me after the conclusion with Rafael Warnock winning in Georgia that

he has run five statewide elections in two years, five statewide elections.

So the primary in 2000 and then a general election and a runoff election in 2020 and 2022.

So yeah, like we kind of knew that but it's kind of it's sort of stunning when you think

about it.

It's kind of a lot of times to, I mean, people, you have people who've been in the Senate

for 15, 20 years who can't say that, right?

You know, you sort of, you know, in a runoff obviously doesn't have quite the dimensions

of a full general election campaign.

It's kind of a quick redo and it also seems like it might be the last I saw some.

There seems to be a move now which I think makes sense kind of like, why don't we just

do this with instant runoff?

You know, it's basically ring choice voting.
