Summary

In the fall of 1944, Georgette Bauerdorf's body was discovered in her apartment in West Hollywood, California. The 20-year-old socialite was a volunteer hostess at one of Los Angeles's most iconic wartime entertainment venues, the Hollywood Canteen. But Georgette's young life was cut short when she was brutally raped, beaten, and asphyxiated. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the murder of Georgette Bauerdorf. There were many persons of interest that the police had to investigate. Georgette encountered many servicemen in her capacity as a hostess at the Hollywood Canteen. Some of these men were known to have been very enamored with Georgette. But, who actually murdered this trusting and generous young woman, and why?
