Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name.

Casey at, he hit me in the fields yesterday when I saw that George Wint had passed away.

Yeah.

And what was interesting was of all the things going on in our world right now, at least on social media,

that was all that seemed a lot of people wanted to talk about and remember was this wonderful

character that he created on Cheers. Yeah. Best known as Norm Peterson on Cheers. He was 76 years old

and he was remembered as a loving family man. So looking at all

these comments and I get the internet is not real life, but these were real people saying real

things. One of the things that very quickly, I always think about this when people who do things

that bring people such joy,

I always hope they passed knowing.

I wish they could read the obituary or see the comments the day after they died.

I wish all of us could do that, right?

The day after you pass away to read the obituary to see the comments,

because this guy did this thing where it wasn't, you didn't have to be a De Niro or Pacino level of actor this was not Dustin Hoffman to do the norm Peterson character

but it was a character that brought immense joy to millions of people.

It's because he played the part of a regular guy.

Right.

Somebody you could relate to.

He appeared in all 275 episodes of Cheers, which ran from 1982 to 1993.

He earned six consecutive Emmy nominations for his role as Norm. And of course, he had the famous line, afternoon, everybody.

Afternoon, everybody? No!
