Eric continues his Super Centennial series. George Washington suffers one of his worst defeats at the hands of the British, however with some questionable tactics by enemy, Washington is able to escape and re-group, leading to one of the most important nights in American history, Dec 25th 1776.

I was a kid. And it was such a huge, amazing celebration. So to think that this is the 250th, the word for the 250th is semi-quincentennial. |

| 1:02.8 | Nobody is going to remember it. |
| 1:04.7 | So I have come up with a term, which I hope catches on, because I think you need a term, tricentennial, bicentennial, those are good terms, |
| 1:12.6 | semi-quincentennial, not a good term. And the 150th is sesquicentennial. No, not a good term. |
| 1:21.7 | The 250th, here's my term. We should call it the supercentennial. America is celebrating its super centennial next year, |
| 1:32.5 | 2026, 250 years. And so, as you may know, I'm working on a book on the American Revolution. |
