So far, in part one, this is an interesting story about a guy who has achieved some success, but he is

far away from being one of the most famous men of all time. In this episode, we're going to

explore the Revolutionary War, so that's when the United States declares independence from

Great Britain, his leadership in that war, why it was so vital, and how he was able to be so

successful despite being a pretty mediocre battlefield general.

One of the things that I think is so powerful is when you identify great, really successful people

who were bad at certain things, and not just anything, but things that were core to what they were

trying to do. So, for example, Demosthenes is known as one of the greatest speakers of all time.

He lived in ancient Greece.

And he had a horrible speech impediment.

Okay, so here you have someone who was the greatest speech giver of all time who was physically

bad at speaking.

And so that means that there is something incredibly valuable that you can learn from

Demosthenes because you learn what is actually valuable in the pursuit of something and what is not.
