| 0:15.0 | I think that's one of the most frustrating things is that, you know, it's not just us being crazy. It's us knowing George and his behavior good and bad. |
| 0:27.0 | The type of person he is. He's not, you know, even if I haven't made the comments to, you know, even if it was sure to turn his back on me, to turn his back on his family, regardless. |
| 0:41.0 | There's more than a handful of people that he would never turn his back on. And that he has always, always, regardless of what he's done or what he's thinking or anything that he has been in touch with. |
| 1:00.0 | I would almost call it an addiction to Facebook as far as pictures and postings and the selfie situation. He used to get on my nerves so bad with, you know, let's take a picture. Let's take a picture. |
| 1:15.0 | And, you know, for none of that to be really showing up with this involving a gay man, I don't think that it was taken as serious as it should have whenever all of us in the beginning had, you know, been saying something is not right. This is not just him disappearing. He didn't have the money. He's not in the right frame of mind for it. |
| 1:38.0 | The stories are not fitting coming from the last person he was with. Yeah, it's with man. Then it goes to gay. Then it goes to drugs. And then next thing you know that puts them on the back burner. |
| 1:53.0 | Hello and welcome to episode 42 of the vanished. Tonight I'll be discussing the disappearance of 31 year old George sandalong. George was last seen on surveillance footage around 4 30 a.m. on Sunday, June 21, 2015. |
| 2:19.0 | He was on an elevator inside the emrizor in Henderson Nevada. It is unclear if the elevator was going up or down or even what floor he exited on. This is George's story. |
| 2:39.0 | I would like to thank Tray for speaking with me for this episode. George had been in a relationship with Tray at the time of his disappearance. I asked him to explain how he first met George. |
| 2:56.0 | I had just moved back to Florida from Wyoming and it was back in 2011. And I guess within probably about six months of being there is whenever I met George started off at not so serious thing and we just continue to see each other and you know decided to commit with one another and begin a relationship and see where it went. |
| 3:22.0 | Like several other people that I've covered George struggled with mental illness. Tray spoke with me about how this affected their relationship and led George to self medicate. |
| 3:32.0 | When that time of getting to know each other I found out that he had bipolar disorder and manic depression. And so I didn't know a whole lot about it at the time and slowly but surely as you know I moved we had moved in together and I finally started to get the experience. |
| 3:51.0 | Of what that was like and you know in a lot of ways it would you know I've gone through depression clinical depression you know prior to this and in a lot of ways it was the same as what I had experienced myself so I knew what it could do to your state of mind. |
| 4:08.0 | He was not being treated he didn't really believe in treatment and he would self medicate usually bus move it was at the time smoking marijuana. |
| 4:19.0 | He had informed me of him having a serious drug past which everybody's got their past I'm not one to judge with that I was certainly no saint to drugs at the time. |
| 4:33.0 | He behavior in him and you know I'm former military so I'm very careful about how I fight or defend myself so whenever he would get like this at times he would get violent I would basically just defend I wouldn't fight back and you know we would always recover from that you know we would get back on track we it was never serious enough to I don't know to jump the gun or leave him or give up on him because of it because new. |
| 5:02.0 | I learned as time went on that how to handle it and how to deal with him and I was always able to talk him down you know but from his the whatever behavior he was currently experiencing and you know it was usually when he wasn't able to get marijuana and that was that usually kept him pretty even so I didn't really worry too much about it and at the time I wasn't exactly in the position to offer assistance. |
| 5:31.0 | We were together probably for I think it was about a year before we ended up having a pretty good a pretty good argument and he got a little bit too aggressive it actually led to police coming to our apartment and that's whenever whenever I made the decision to move back here to Alabama and start over and before I had moved I had agreed with George to stay with him. |
| 6:00.0 | We agreed with George to stay until the end of our lease and during that time we recommitted as friends and and left on very good terms we didn't leave you know have an animosity towards one another or anything and we continue to stay in touch we continue to vacation together we continue to you know to be basically being loved with each other just having a long distance not committed relationship at the time. |
| 6:28.0 | That went on probably I think two years. |
| 6:32.0 | Three or up three years we would always plan one or two vacations a year together or more if we could and slowly but surely you know through our phone conversations which we talked almost every day and whenever you know the first couple of days of him being you know either here in Alabama with me or maybe in there in Florida with him I would notice how his behavior. |
