Hello, this is Richard Jig Jacobs with the Finding Genius podcast. I have a returning guest, Thomas Pirofoit.

He was one of the producers of his Genesis history, which was like a really fantastic documentary

that showed geological and some archaeological evidence for why the Bible appears to be corroborated with real events. He has a new movie out that we're going to talk about. That's a slightly different take that will discuss some of the same issues, and we'll get into that shortly. And I want to welcome them back. Thomas, thank you for coming. Hey, it's great to be here. Yeah, it's like that. just for people that haven't heard the previous interview, can you talk about a little about your background and then how he used to dooms as history came to be? And then we'll go to the new movie. Sure. My background was, I've always been interested in science from a young child. I so remember a lot of these old great universe books I got. I grew up a kid in the 70s, and I had these fantastic books that showed all of these planets. I remember this is just amazing how this was all created. I grew up a Christian in a Christian home. And I remember when I was in high school, I took a biology class. And until I was 10th grade, probably like what we were doing in the 80s back then. And the class was obviously taught from an evolutionary standpoint. I was kind of fascinated. I was like, okay, but this is something totally different than I'd been taught. I was actually beginning to be kind of convinced by this and had at my church, which held to a view that was, you know, more of a, I would say more of a biblical view, traditional view that the earth was quite young and that evolution wasn't real. I had a guy kind of challenged me and he

said, hey, so if, you know, evolution is true, you should be able to demonstrate that pretty

clearly. Or if, you know, creation is true. You really need to research it. I was like, well, sure.

So I checked out a bunch of books, checked out, you know, books by Richard Leakey and other evolutionists. I checked out books by Henry Morris and other creationists. And I kind of put him side by side. And at the end of this came to the point where I was like, wow, that's actually, I really do think that this view of a young earth creation, that evolution didn't do everything to create, you know, well, form,

we'll say, all the animals and all the world around us, that that just doesn't really hold
