This is hell, and that has been thoroughly exemplified in its coverage of what is happening to the people of Gaza.

Since the 20th century, we have had guests on our show who have given us insight, not heard anywhere else concerning the ongoing and international tolerance for the illegal Israeli invasion and occupation of

Palestinian lands. We've spoken with analysts, historians, journalists, activists, politicians,

self-admitted terrorists from Irgun, who fought for Israeli statehood in 1948 and then went on to

the peace movement, Gus Shalom.

We've also had discussions with veterans of the Israeli military who were involved in operations

in the occupied territories, only later to join the Anti-occupation Organization, breaking the silence,

as well as human rights activists in the Israeli organization,

Bishalam, and members of the Jewish diaspora. And they have offered a wide variety of reasons

for the seeming normalization of an ongoing slow, as our guest calls it, incremental genocide

of Palestinians that's taken place since, well, Israel began.

Sometimes the reason given has been oil. Other times, it's acting as a proxy for U.S.

interests in the region, or essentially being a U.S. military outpost. They've mentioned colonialism, settler colonialism, imperialism,

and the Cold War's anti-communism, a fear which persists to this day,

despite Joe McCarthy being outed as an idiot.
