What's a good ending for you in your return to New York with the fan base, with the organization?

What's a good ending?

Well, hopefully the ending isn't coming soon. I got a lot of years to play, and I'm looking forward to, you know, again, just getting back into the building, starting at day one and building this thing from the ground up, brick by brick. There you go, very seasoned answer. That's a man that's dealt with a lot of media questions now across a long time. And he said multiple times.

Like he's got a lot of football left in him at 35. Yeah, well, I mean, we hear the age, but obviously there were years where he was, you know, on the bench not playing full seasons. Age is just a number, Celo. You're not 40, you're 26. There you go. That's what we're talking about. He also did the media call with the Jets beat

like going back into an old school. Oh man, it was so special. It really felt like just, you know,

he did talk about some of the upgrades they've made specifically to the locker room but it is a

great facility as Willie would know better than anybody so he's excited to be back there not to be jackass, but did anybody ask him about the incident with IK or no? I haven't heard the full conference call. They may have. I just wonder. If I come across that. Jerry, it is a fair question. Do you think he needs to address it? Just kind of say, hey, man, like, to, I get annoyed with it because i feel like man one incident shouldn't and we

talk about this all the time flippantly like i don't think one incident should be should define you

correct um so is this an opportunity for him like hey let's just get out the way you know hope

i learned from him i'm better from it i shouldn't have said x y z uh it. My jaw, my jaw paid the price. It cost, you know, like, I just think kind of jumping out ahead of it almost voluntarily, it kind of a rate, we'll push it to bed. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, I think you could do that. And like, that's why I was wondering, I didn't see the full quotes of the conference call with the reporter. So it'd be interesting, though, if he joked around with it and kind of closed, you know, in a serious way, but kind of joked about it a little bit, you could kind of close that chapter. Just because I, you're right, you feel like any time you hear about Gino and the Jets, you think of that. and he would have to be the one to put an end to it and then move on. So, yeah, you're probably right about that. I remembered Rich Simeini writing a piece about it around the five-year anniversary. I'm trying to look back quickly to see if Gino gave any quotes in that piece. I know IK did. I don't think Gino did, if I'm not mistaken. Like, I'm scrolling through it real quick.
