We'll get started.

We're going to be picking up in, at the beginning of Genesis chapter 46.

So, last time we kind of finished up the story of Joseph proper.

We're now going to be entering into sort of the epilogue material at the end of the story of Joseph.

And mainly what we talked about last time was we went through Joseph of course

had predicted the famine and put the plan in place for Egypt to be able to weather the

famine and then when the famine hit Joseph's brothers came to Egypt to buy grain.

And this culminated in, without rehearsing everything we talked about last time,

culminated in Joseph revealing himself to his brothers, his forgiveness of them,

and their reconciliation.

And now he has sent to get his father, Jacob, to come to Egypt.

And that's really, how quick of a recap is that?

That's where we're now picking up.

So as we mentioned, and it maybe hasn't been apparent the last couple of Bible studies

because what we've been reading has been so focused on Joseph and Joseph in Egypt.

But as we mentioned, while this has been, there has been to some degree a shift here in the last

third of genesis from jacob to joseph this is really still also part of jacob's story and that'll

become very apparent both when we pick up here in chapter 46
