Well, and as Sam alluded to, this was a moving and seemingly convincing speech, because finally at the end of it, the dam breaks, right?

All the water, all the emotion that has been building up in Joseph for all this time, or he's left the room in order to cry so that they wouldn't see.

All that stuff has finally broken forth.

He clears the room, and then Genesis 45 verse 3, he basically

So here's a little reminder of where we left off in Genesis.

Joseph had just met with his brother's face-to-face.

Remember, they're afraid of him, but he is full of compassion toward them.

A few times even he weeps, but he's also

full of suspicion. Genesis 43, where we ended, it ends with his reunited brothers sharing a meal.
