Okay, we'll go ahead and get started.

And when we get started, just a moment, we will be picking up at the beginning of Genesis

chapter 26.

So, yeah, the first chapter we're going to read tonight is going to be kind of weird.

Fair warning.

Weird, not in the sense that it talks about weird things, but weird in the sense that it seems to be a lot of rehash and not going anywhere and wheel spinning.

But we'll get to that as we go through it.

So last time we got into the beginning of the story of Jacob and Esau, the sons of Isaac

and Rebecca, and about their birth that Esau, even though they were twins, was technically the oldest,

but that as we saw Jacob is ambitious, shall we say.

This might not be the older brother.

And we talked about how Esau was sort of the more man's man type

going out hunting and dealing with the herdsman and that kind of thing.

It was kind of dad's favorite.

And Jacob

was more hanging around

with his mom and the women

folk back at the tents.
