When we get started, we'll be picking up at the beginning of Genesis

Chapter 16.

People listening to the recording, it's been a week.

People hear it's been a while.

Some of us have been through a lot in that time.

Not, not. while. Some of us have been through a lot in that time. Not a lot compared to what actual suffering people in the world suffer, but a lot for, you know,

for whiny me, yeah.

But so last time, I mean, we won't go all the way through the life of Abraham up to this point, but last time we talked about God sort of making an official covenant with Abram and that whole process of cutting a covenant, cutting the animals in half, the presence of God,

moving through the midst of the halves, all of those sorts of things. And coupled with that was the

reiteration of the promises that God had already made to Abraham about his descendants and about one descendant in

particular.

We talked about those.

Sort of each time those are repeated as we go through Genesis, little elements are added,

right?

It's said a little differently each time.

And so we get, it's not just

repetition, but we get sort of another angle on, on what's going on from each of them. But sort of

the core issue right now that sort of sparked God sort of officially making this covenant, doing this
