Okay, we'll go ahead and get started.

And when we get started in just a moment, we'll be picking up, if I am correct.

And I think I am.

In Genesis chapter 14 14 verse 17,

which was not a particularly natural place to stop last time,

except that this is where we'll get into.

As you can tell from the subheading,

Melchizedek, and based on the amount of time we had already spent in Bible study last week, we did not want to embark upon Melchizedek at that point in time.

And so we stopped here.

But so that means we do need to do a little bit of catch-up because this episode we're about to read with Al-Qizadec is really part of the story we had been reading in the rest of chapter 14.

Most of the chapter breaks, not all, but most of the chapter breaks, as you may

have noticed as we've been going through in Genesis actually kind of makes sense. I know we

saw some times in St. Paul's epistles and some of the other New Testament books that

they were rather arbitrary.

The big one that doesn't make sense in Genesis is where Genesis 2 starts,

remember, like the last day of creation,

like overhangs by two verses into chapter 2.

But most of them kind of make sense, including this one.
