I'm Emily Freeman. Welcome to Don't Miss This. If you're new with us, we follow the come follow me curriculum of the Church of Jesus Christ of

Latter-day Saints this year moving through the Old Testament and we share a whole bunch of things that we think you don't want to miss.

Clever. As we go through, right? Super clever name.

We are super excited about our lesson today. I think this might be one of the most important lessons we'll do the whole year.

Yeah, it is.

I hope you match up. I hope you match that with one of those Sunday school weeks because you know how like sometimes you get off of the week and you're like,

listen, should every bishop in the world just do two Sunday school for this month because this really is.

Yeah, this one is like, I think it's foundational to understanding our unique place in the Christian world.

That's so true.

Right? It's like, wait, what makes the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints different? What's their different commission? What's the different role that they play?

Because we're not the only ones playing a role in like in the great work God's doing in the world. So like what unique contribution do we have?

And I think this is the this is the spot to really do that. So we're super excited about doing the lesson and all the things that will come with it.

And we just move through the whole history of it's just a great visual to keep track of what's going on in the Old Testament and we add a piece every week.

This week we're adding our guy Abraham. He's got stars on his picture. We will get into why in just a second.

And he's going to go right here in spot number seven. Now you're going to be sad confused for a second because you're like, wait, what goes in this?

And this is a story that happens the same time as Abraham, but it doesn't show up until later in the actual Old Testament.
