We're looking at this great book of the Bible.

This is actually sermon number 10 in Genesis,

and the best way to really figure out how to live your life

is to look at the life of somebody else. There's kind of two ways to learn

lessons. You can learn them the hard way by figuring it out for yourself you can learn it the easy way by

letting somebody else figure out and tell you how to do it every generation when it

comes to marriage and parenting and life and leadership there's all these fads and

trends but the truth is you don't really know if it's a good or a bad idea until it's been field tested for a while.

This is why we tend to love biographies. We look at the lives and legacies of people and we ask,

well, what did they do and then how did it end

and what were the complications or implications

of the decisions that they made for generations?

This is why on television we've even got a whole channel dedicated to biographies and in the biography channel it's about people who made decisions that led to blessing or cursing for generations.

Well what we're going to do today, we're going to study one of the most significant people in the history of the world.

Genesis is the beginning of the biography of a married couple named Abraham and Seri. God's ultimately going to change their name to Abraham and Sarah. God's ultimately gonna change their name

to Abraham and Sarah.
