Hi Stella.

We're very excited to announce the launch of our new podcast, Gender, a wider lens.

We are going to be tackling the huge and complex topic of gender from a psychological perspective.

We're both therapists who work with clients struggling with gender dysphoria.

And we've had our own divergent personal experiences with gender too.

We wanted to start this podcast because gender dysphoria has become a mind field for public

discussion with many afraid to express their views or question the narrative.

By openly considering gender identity, dysphoria, and transition,

we hope listeners will feel like they have permission to engage this fascinating topic with less fear and more honesty.

Most of today's debates around gender framed the topic culturally or politically, but we hope to bring

something different to the conversation by diving deeper into the psychological elements here.

In addition to our clinical lens, we'll also be interviewing guests, medical professionals, academics, transgender people, parents, and

deep transitioners.

Here are some of the questions on our minds.

Is gender identity a facilitation of development and expression of creativity?

Or can it be a defense against painful existential realities of living in a human body?

What can we discover about masculinity, femininity, identity, gender performance, and sexuality when we peer beneath the surface and dive into a deeper psychological exploration.

And what is the relationship between body, mind, identity, culture and

psyche? I'm really excited Stella and we hope listeners will enjoy these discussions as much as we do.
