Ortega, and I'm so excited for today's episode as I have a very exciting guest and an amazing

human in my teammate and one of my best friends rumor rumor welcome to the podcast how are you feeling

hey everyone i'm so excited to be here i've been looking forward to this since before bailey and i knew

each other and it was just a virtual relationship yeah and i lived vicariously through your ticot and

your podcast and i'm so excited to finally be on it yeah no i'm i'm so excited i've been

specifically saving the older girls as senior night approaches.

So very excited to have rumor on.

So first, just jumping into the easiest question, just tell me a bit about yourself, where you're from, position you play, like, all that jazz.

Okay.

My name's rumor.

I'm from Tucson, Arizona. I moved to New York for volleyball for my freshman year of college. And so I was at Long Island University. I was recruited as a middle. And then I'm the first day, they're like, or no, I was recruited as the right side. First day, they're like, actually, you're going to be middle. And I was like, okay. Interesting. Okay. I played middle in like two years, but let's do it. Did pretty well.

but let's do it. Yep. Um, did pretty well. And then now I'm here. And I went in the portal a weekend when the portal opened. And so I'm really grateful for the time I had New York, but

just glad to be at LSU to finish up senior year. I love it. So first and last year and season at LSU. So tell me a bit about

like your first experiences at LSU, like this season, like being here this summer, like just

talk about how it's been being here at LSU, like whether it's different and how you've enjoyed it

and kind of how you're

savoring it all. Just give me a little rundown. Yeah. So going back to New York a little bit, I feel like

I was so ready for the change. And like I do well with change, I think, and meeting new people has

always been easier for me. And so I assume that coming here would just be like, I'd just seamlessly dive right

into it. And it has been a little bit more hard because just like culture shock, moving to the
