And fresh back from our Irish jaunt, Michael Cox, who saw the greatest goal he ever witnessed live this weekend in an unexpected place.

Yes, I did.

We were in Dublin on Friday night and Belfast on Saturday night.

So whilst I was in Belfast, I went to Cliftonville against Warren Point.

Right. bottom of the league didn't offer much. But yeah, the second goal by a guy called Connor McDermott at the right back was genuinely the best goal I've ever seen. Where were you? It's actually gone viral a bit, but you were there? Where were you stood? I was behind the other goals, so I was right behind the shot. So I think I was in the best possible place to see it. Nice play by McDermott. Has a go from distance spot of the goalkeeper off his line.

But Connor McDermott has just scored a contender for goal in the season.

So it was kind of after a corner situation and he was the last man back,

controlled a high ball, brought it down beautifully, then kind of dinked it over an opponent's head and then brought the ball down again.

And then from 60 yards, well inside his own half, absolutely pinged it over the opposition goalkeeper and into the top corner.

Wow.

It was just such a crisp, pure driven strike.

It wasn't just a hopeful lob. It was a real drilled strike. And it was just incredible. Given the context of the game, you know, obviously not the highest standard you will see. But to see a goal of that quality was remarkable. Was that goal by any chance wind assisted because it's quite a windy place, solitude? I think if you look from where you were looking on the right, there is no stand there.
