I'm here with Yasmin Taib, who's the legislative and political director for Empower Action.

It's the largest Muslim digital activist organization in the U.S.

Hi, well, thank you so much for having me.

Yeah, absolutely.

So just to start out,

your group, Empower Action,

is a relatively new organization.

I think you started, what, 2016?

Yeah, and I feel like

not enough people know about it

or know what it is. So just, just really, what is Empower action? And what are you working on?

Absolutely. So the organization started in response to the Trump administration's first administration. This is around 2016, 2017. Our organization is the largest Muslim digital

activist group in the United States with over half a million members nationwide. We work on a

kind of slew a series of issues ranging from, you know, fighting for advancing social, racial, economic

justice and for a just and human rights-centered foreign policy.
