As a hunger crisis in Gaza spreads, humanitarian groups are running out of ways to help.

That's according to a spokesperson at the Norwegian Refugee Council, who tells CNN many displaced

people had fled to the city of Dea al-Bala and it had become an aid capital.

But he says Israel's new ground offensive there is now making aid distribution more difficult.

I hear from my colleagues who are themselves starving that now they have probably one meal

a day and that should be before bedtime so that their children don't go to bed with empty

stomachs. I heard yesterday also from a colleague about a pregnant woman who was carrying

a bag of flower when she was shot dead. Israel has repeatedly claimed that it's restricting

aid organizations from moving within the territory to stop Hamas from stealing supplies, but aid agencies

deny their ending up in Hamas' hands. Meanwhile, a U.S. official says special envoy,

Steve Whitkoff, will travel to Europe this week for conversations on a Gaza ceasefire, and a separate

source says Whitkoff will then visit Qatar for further talks. The Department of Education has paused some student loan forgiveness.
