We may repost segments of this to Mint Press News, but for right now, we are going to dive right in because there is a lot to talk about.

What is this ceasefire? Is it viable? Why is it happening now? I know a lot of people are confused right now.

And we also need to talk about how this ties into the Lebanese presidential elections and the U.S. Iran policy under the Trump administration.

And to that end, to talk about the interconnectedness of all these issues, starting with the ceasefire, because that's the

most breaking news right now. We are joined by Batul Subbati, energy engineer, and political

Okay. So jumping right in, Associated Press reporting. Israel and Hamas agreed to pause the devastating

war in the Gaza Strip of genocide in the Gaza Strip.

Mediators have announced Wednesday,

raising the possibility of winding down

the mass destruction in the strip between these,

as AP reports it, bitter enemies.

So it's basically a three-phase ceasefire deal, and it promises the releases of dozens

of hostages held by Hamas and other resistance groups in Gaza and hundreds of Palestinian
