When last we left the runaways, Apex the Wild Man, Louise the scavenge

the mechanic, Cynthia the nurse, and Theo, the combat medic. The dust was settling from a recent

attack by a swarm of mutated bugs that seemed intent on killing and capturing the citizens

of the Emerald Acropolis for an unknown purpose.

Thea witnessed a ghost from his past, razor glow, a glowing one transformed and mutated into an impossibly tall monstrosity.

After a brief crisis of conscience, the group met back with the green ring to discuss what had happened, with them discovering the swarm of insects were in fact mutated cicadas, rising up from the ground with unusual aggression.

Johann opened up to his counsel about the scant knowledge of Vault 40 that he'd acquired, including that he laid the framework, the blueprints, and the materials

that allowed for the Emerald Acropolis to establish itself so quickly.

The runaways split themselves off once more in order to aid the recovery effort,

with Apex Cynthia and a pair of sentient death claws, discovering the shared carapaces of giant cicadas

clinging to the drained dead trees, hundreds of them.

Now they must figure out what to do with this discovery on tonight's episode of Gateway.
